Strategy Consultant, Graduate School Admissions

Our tech platform connects tutors and mentors to high school students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities in the US, Canada, UK, and beyond.
As a Crimson Graduate Admissions Strategy Consultant, you will work directly with adult clients seeking admission to graduate, doctoral, and/or global fellowship (e.g. Fulbright) programs as relevant to your background and expertise.
Consultants work 1:1 with clients through the candidacy development, program
selection, personal statement development, interview preparation, and general
application process from start to finish. Our team will confirm your availability for each
individual case before connecting you with a client.
This is a full-time position, that can be based remotely or in one of our many offices around the globe.
What success looks like:
Assess clients’ candidacy:
- Assess résumé: education, academic profile, and work experience
- Assess motivators
- Identify initial strengths and weaknesses
Guide program research and selection:
- Consider client’s interests, desired career path, and skill set
- Present viable reach, target, and safety program options
Guide overarching narrative development:
- Clarify short- and long-term goals
- Pinpoint qualities to highlight in the application
- Help client communicate narrative in essays and interviews
Provide comprehensive guidance on application process, including:
- Reference selection, solicitation, and preparation
- Prospective advisor communication
- In-depth essay development and refinement
- In-depth CV feedback and edits
- Interview preparation
What skills and experience you’ll need:
- Graduated from a Top 30 US University, Ivy League strongly preferred
- Passion for coaching and appreciation of global perspectives
- Superior planning and organisational skills; experience in project management, event coordination, product management a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Resilience when working independently under pressure
- Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, and admissions consulting preferred
